With its spectacular architecture, the new Schierker Feuerstein Arena integrates with ease and elegance into the rustic Harz town of Schierke. The modern design is chosen as a conscious addition to the traditional. With the redesign of the existing listed natural ice stadium, old and new are combined in a special way. Thanks to the innovative design of the roof construction, the view of the mountains of the Upper Harz and the Schierker sky is free. It skilfully combines the unmistakable nature with the historic competition tower and the natural stone terrace made of Harz granite.

The listed ensemble of the former natural ice stadium has been restored and rebuilt in the last two years. With the arena, Schierke receives a unique weather-independent leisure facility. In winter ice skating, ice disco, ice hockey and curling – in summer music, theatre, children's experience and family activities. In every season and in any weather you can experience a colorful mix of events in the dreamlike and unique scenery on a covered arena area.
