Cross-country skiing and biathlon are the sports with which Obertilliach has gained worldwide fame. The varied cross-country ski runs and the beauty of the landscape inspire everyone from amateurs to world and Olympic champions.
From the Obertilliach cross-country skiing and biathlon center there is a 60-kilometre network of trails for beginners and professionals. The high-altitude trail on the Golzentipp, which starts directly at the mountain station and leads 6 km through the hilly terrain, has great views.
